The Cecil County Sheriff's Office Bureau of Law Enforcement has 101 sworn positions and 26 support staff employees. The agency is divided into four divisions: The Patrol Division consisting of Patrol Squads, the Traffic Unit, and the K9 Unit; The Criminal Investigation Division consisting of the Criminal Investigations Unit, Cecil County Drug Task Force, Street Level Crimes Unit, School Resources Unit, Child Advocacy, Crime Analysis, Heroin Coordinator and the Crime Scene Technician; The Administrative Services Division consisting of Human Resources, Fleet Management, Administrative Services, Professional Standards and Training; and the Special Operations Division consisting of the Court Security Unit, Warrant Unit, Civil Process Unit, Community Resources Unit, and Central Records. The function of each division is an essential component in assuring the efficient delivery of police services. The Cecil County Sheriff’s Office provides complete law enforcement services, including enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, serving warrants and civil process papers, responding to routine and emergency calls, and investigating criminal and drug violations.
