There are 36 (no change from 06/17/20) COVID-19-related deaths in Cecil County.

COVID-19 continues to be a community-spread pandemic. Please remain vigilant and safe in your day-to-day activities as every person we come in contact with is a potential risk to our health. Please continue to wear a mask when necessary, practice social distancing, wash your hands often, sanitize frequently touched surfaces, and sneeze/cough into a tissue or your elbow.

Cecil County Health DepartmentCCHD FREE TESTING BMHS
A free community-based, drive-through testing event will be held on Wednesday July 1, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Bohemia Manor High School, located at 2755 Augustine Herman Hwy., Chesapeake City, MD. Residents who are interested in being tested for COVID-19 should contact the Cecil County Health Department at 410-996-1005 to schedule an appointment. No doctor’s orders are required and residents do not have to be symptomatic to be tested. Residents should bring identification.

This event is an initiative of the Cecil County Health Department, in partnership with the Cecil County Department of Emergency Services and is part of a broader initiative to expand access to testing for vulnerable residents in Cecil County and the broader community in the coming weeks and months.

"Expanded access to testing is critical to safely reopening the county. Testing helps us to identify where cases exist in the community so that we can quickly treat and isolate sick individuals, identify individuals whom the sick came into contact with through contact tracing, and quarantine them to prevent wider spread of COVID-19 in the community,” stated Lauren Levy, Health Officer for Cecil County.
