County Executive McCarthy Supports Governor’s Next Phase for Reopening in Cecil County

ELKTON, MD. – Cecil County Executive Alan McCarthy issued the following statement in response to today’s announcement by Governor Larry Hogan concerning the Maryland Strong: Roadmap to Recovery.
“Cecil County will continue reopening safely to the guidelines permitted by Governor Hogan and will wholeheartedly follow his lead to move to the next phase of Stage Two effective at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12th.”
The next phase includes the reopening of indoor dining at restaurants, graduation ceremonies, and certain outdoor activities, including public pools, all with continued adherence to social distancing practices, reduced capacities and hygiene protocols in place.
Also, effective June 19th at 5:00 p.m., Governor Hogan has issued the reopening of gyms and fitness centers, casinos, arcades and malls will.
