NORTH EAST, MD. – Appreciation and recognition are extended to Martin Marietta and their North East Quarry crew for the recent, and very generous donation of 300 tons of crusher run gravel, which was used to assist the Cecil County Department of Public Works in repairing a local access road. The collaboration helped secure a safe passage to an elderly citizen to accommodate emergency services, electric utility and fuel delivery vehicles to the residence.
“Martin Marietta is a wonderful community partner,” said County Executive Alan McCarthy. “Their generous donation allowed us to not only restore safe and adequate access to the individual, but provides a sense of comfort to the family, our first responders and other local agencies, as well.”
Martin Marietta, Inc. is an American-based company and a leading supplier of building materials, including aggregates, cement, ready mixed concrete and asphalt. Martin Marietta is committed to being a responsible neighbor and supporting their local communities.
