ELKTON, MD. -- Bodhi Counseling, in partnership with the Cecil County Department of Community Services, will host an event to mark International Survivor of Suicide Loss Day. The event will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., at the Elkton Center, located at the back entrance of the Cecil County Administration Bldg., 200 Chesapeake Blvd. in Elkton.

The event will include viewing a documentary on surviving suicide loss, produced by the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention. Bodhi will facilitate a discussion on the themes presented in the film involving grieving loss to suicide.

Mr. Jordan Lally, Executive Director of the Ed Lally Foundation, will share his experience of suicide loss. Jordan will illustrate how the use of meditation, creative self-expression, and associated practices helped him to navigate the grief of the loss of his father to suicide.

International Survivor of Suicide Loss Day was set aside for survivors of suicide loss to come together for healing and support.

The public is invited to gather together to find connection, understanding, and hope through shared experiences. There is no charge to attend or participate.
