MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF HEALTH

July 15, 2003

          The Cecil County Board of Health met in the County Commissioner’s Board Room 107 North Street, Elkton, Maryland on Tuesday, July 15, 2003.  The following members of the Board were present:

            Nelson K. Bolender, President

            Phyllis Kilby, Commissioner

            Harry A. Hepbron, Commissioner

            William C. Manlove, Commissioner

            Mark H. Guns, Commissioner

            Dr. Virginia Bailey

            Constituting a full Board.

            Dr. Bailey presented the Board with highlights from the following task force committees: 

            Alcohol and Drug Task Force – over 5,000 resource directories (developed by the task force) have been distributed throughout the community to improve community knowledge of available treatment, support and education services for substance abuse. 

            The Cecil County Cancer Task Force in conjunction with the Cecil County Cancer Task Force in conjunction with the Cecil County Community Health Advisory Committee revised the Cecil County Local Can
