The Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County met in regular session at the County Administration Building, 107 North Street, Elkton, MD on Tuesday, May 28, 2002. The following members of the Board were present:
Nelson K. Bolender, President
Harry A. Hepbron, Commissioner
Phyllis Kilby, Commissioner
constituting a full board.
The meeting was called to order by President Bolender at 9:00 a.m. and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
- MINUTES – MAY 21, 2002
The minutes of the May 21, 2002 Commissioners’ meeting were unanimously approved as written.
- PUBLIC HEARING
Adoption of Fiscal Year 2003 Budget
On recommendation of County Administrator, motion made by Commissioner Kilby, seconded by Commissioner Hepbron, and unanimously carried to adopt the Fiscal Year 2003 Budget in the amount of $104,138,678.00.
Appointment of the Members of the Board of Trustees, Cecil County Pension Plan
Human Resources Director Donna Nichols stated that there are two open appointments on the Board. Approval of the current recommendations to the Board of Trustee’s does not include the open appointments to be made at a later date.
On recommendation of Director Nichols, motion made by Commissioner Hepbron, seconded by Commissioner Kilby, and unanimously carried to approve the following appointments:
Craig Whiteford - County employee EMS - Frank Muller
Open - Treasurer to designee EMS – Mike Browne
Sheriff's Office - Terry Pinder Human Resources – Donna Nichol
Sheriff's Office - Randall Lane Open - Member of the Sheriff's Office - Edward McCrae public
- BUDGET AMENDMENTS
Upon recommendation by County Administrator Wein, motion made by Commissioner Kilby, seconded by Commissioner Hepbron, and unanimously carried to approve Budget Amendments 151 and 152. A copy of the Budget Amendments are incorporated as a part of these minutes.
- ADJOURNMENT
Motion made by Hepbron, seconded by Kilby, and unanimously carried to adjourn the meeting.
