MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF HEALTH

January 4, 2005

The Cecil County Board of Health met in the County Commissioner’s Board Room 107 North Street, Elkton, Maryland on Tuesday, January 4, 2005. The following members of the Board were present:

Nelson K. Bolender, President

Harry A. Hepbron, Vice President

William C. Manlove, Commissioner

Mark H. Guns, Commissioner

Dr. Virginia Bailey

Constituting a full Board.

Dr. Bailey announced the new Environmental Health Fee Schedule, as mandated by the State. Following a public hearing, the revised fee schedule will be effective July 1, 2005 and consists of several increases in the following areas:

Building Permit/Sanitary Permit Review & Approval

Well Permits

Food Service Facility Licenses

The Wet Season Soil Testing has been accelerated this year and the Cecil County Health Department is now accepting applications for this process. Dr. Bailey explained that as a result of the wet weather conditions this season, conditions are favorable for early testing.
