PUBLIC NOTICE

The Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County will hold a public hearing on May 20, 2008; 7:00 p.m.; Charlestown Fire House; 307 Market Street, Charlestown, MD 21914 to consider revisions to Chapter 235 (Plumbing Control & Standards); Chapter 221 (HVAC Standards) and Mechanical/HVAC, Plumbing fee schedules.

The proposed revisions deal with the adoption of the 2006 International Mechanical Code and the 2006 National Standard Plumbing Code adopted by the State of Maryland which requires each county and municipality to also adopt these codes for enforcement within their jurisdictions.  Chapters 221 & 235 are also proposed to be revised to include provisions for rescinding or withholding permits.
