The American National Red Cross has released an initial $1 million dollars for assessment and response activities across Haiti in response to the devastating earthquake that occurred on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.  International disaster response personnel are also being deployed on assignment.  Nationally, ARC is coordinating with the White House and other national partners; locally, each Red Cross chapter is reaching out to our community & state partners as well during this event.
