MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS
OF CECIL COUNTY

 

The Board of License Commissioners of Cecil County met in a regular session at the County Administrative Building, Conference Room, 200 Chesapeake Boulevard, Elk Room, Elkton, MD on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 9:15 A.M.

PRESENT:
        Tim Snelling, Chairman
                        Carrie L. Taylor, Commissioner
                        John Eller, Commissioner
                        H. Norman Wilson, Jr., Esquire
                        Earl R. Bradford, Chief Alcohol Beverage Inspector

 

NEW LICENSE: Application received from Avatar Singh Ghuman; GMFUNN, LLC, T/A Perryville Liquors, 1486 Perryville Road, Perryville, MD 21903 for a new Class "A" Beer, Wine and Liquor Alcoholic Beverage License.

Avatar Singh Ghuman appeared before the Board; he was duly sworn by the Clerk.  Mr. Wilson read the public notice which appeared on dates of September 11 and 18, 2013.  The fully executed application packet with proper fees included: signatures of 10 registered voters and property owners in District 7-3; Alcohol Awareness Training; Certification Form stating the nature of the business will be 'a package goods store with sales of beer, wine and liquors.'  Rikin Parikh appeared to protest the license; he stated he is the manager at East Coast Liquors and a new license here would impact his business.  With no further business to discuss, Commissioner Eller made a motion to approve the new license; Commissioner Taylor seconded that motion and the Board unanimously voted to approve the new license.
