MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS
OF CECIL COUNTY
The Board of License Commissioners of Cecil County met in a regular session at the County Administrative Building, Conference Room, 200 Chesapeake Boulevard, Elk Room, Elkton, MD on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 9:15 A.M.

NEW LICENSE:Application received from Pinakin Motibhai Patel; Bridge Street Liquors, LLC, T/A Bridge Street Liquors, 701 N. Bridge Street, Elkton, MD 21921 for a new Class "A" Beer, Wine and Liquor Alcoholic Beverage License.
Pinakin Motibhai Patel appeared before the Board with council William Riddle. Mr. Wilson read the public notice which appeared on dates of July 17 and July 24, 2013. The fully executed application packet with proper fees included: signatures of 10 registered voters and property owners in District 3-7; Alcohol Awareness Training showing Mr. Patel had taken and passed the class on 5/21/13; Certification Form stating the nature of the business will be 'a package goods store.' Mr. Wilson asked the applicant if the information submitted on the application is true today as when they signed it June 26, 2013, the applicant stated yes. Chairman Snelling asked when they would be ready to open; Mr. Patel stated they hoped to be open in about 3 weeks. Mr. Riddle questioned the applicant Mr. Patel about the operation of the business; Mr. Patel assured the Board that it would be a lawful operation, that he was aware of the past reputation. Commissioner Taylor made a motion to approve; Commissioner Eller amended the motion to include the Board receiving a copy of the lease agreement and Bulk Transfer Permit, Commissioner Taylor seconded that motion and the Board voted unanimously to approve the new license.
· Approve Minutes
The minutes from the June meeting were approved.
· Catering Events
The Board approved the Special License for the Patriots Glen Homeowners Association for four events thru the end of 2013.
· Appeal Update: Mr. Wilson provided the Board with an update regarding the Joe's Grog House (B-112) appeal.
· The Board granted Chesapeake Wine & Spirits (A- 43) a 3 month extension to complete their transfer request
· The Board discussed Policy with Commander Stephen Konold and First Sergeant Jimmy Russell from the Maryland State Police, North East Barrack.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned.
