Eligibility

If you will be absent or unable to vote in person in the Election you may vote by Absentee Ballot.

Application Process

How do I apply for an absentee ballot?

An application may be printed from the State's website at http://www.elections.state.md.us/voting/absentee.html, or requested by telephone, or in person at your local board of elections.

You may apply for an absentee ballot by mail or fax for the 2012 Gubernatorial Election through:

• Tuesday, March 27, 2012 for the Primary Election
• Tuesday, October 30, 2012 for the General Election 

To apply for an absentee ballot after these dates through Election Day, you must apply in person at the local board of elections.
