Seneca Point
North East River Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant (A/K/A Seneca Point) was originally constructed in 1980-1981 and placed into service in October 1981, as a step feed, extended aeration activated sludge process, with a treatment capacity of 2 million gallons per day (mgd). The Seneca Point facility received an upgrade in 2004 to Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) status using the Eimco Carouse process. The current 2010 flows to the plant are just under 1.0 mgd.
