Cecil County Water & Wastewater Division

The Cecil County Water & Wastewater Division is very similar in size to the Solid Waste Management Division.  The Water & Wastewater Division, with 18 staff positions, contains jobs for Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators, a Laboratory Technician, Maintenance Mechanics, and supervisory personnel.

The primary services provided by personnel within the Water & Wastewater Division include the daily operations and upkeep for four (4) public water supply facilities and five (5) public wastewater/sanitary sewer treatment plants, as well as the  daily maintenance on the miles of service lines installed to deliver water and collect wastewater from hundreds of county homes. This division provides its public service directly to the water and wastewater plant users as well as to the Board of Education.
