Water and Wastewater (Sewer)

Cecil County no longer provides water service effective December 22, 2011.  See Notice to Water Customers.

Cecil County provides sewer services to the following areas in the County:  Charlestown, Harborview, Cherry Hill, North East, Bay View, Trinity Woods, Carpenters Point, Highlands, Meadowview, Pine Hills and Arundel.  The Treasurer's Office is responsible for billing and collection of these services, which are billed on a quarterly basis as follows:  January through March, April through June, July through September and October through December.
 
Billing Rates

Effective July 1, 2011, the current rate for sewer service is $8.44 per thousand gallons.  A property having County sewer service along with a public water supply, the rate is based on the water meter reading provided by the public water supplier, billed at the rate of $8.44 per thousand gallons with a 10,000 gallon minimum charge of $84.40 per quarter.  Properties having County sewer service along with a private water supply (well), the rate is $126.54 per quarter, per living unit, based on a 15,000 gallon minimum. 
 
Billing

Bills are mailed during the months of January, April, July and October.  Payment will be due 30 days from the billing date, after which the unpaid balance will accrue interest at one percent (1%) per month.  A second notice will be mailed on any bill that becomes delinquent.
