Sealed proposals for the purchase and delivery of "One (1) each Work Truck" as described in specifications, for Cecil County Government, Department of Public Works, Roads Division will be received from qualified bidders until 1:30 p.m., on March 18, 2008, in the Purchasing Department, 200 Chesapeake Blvd, Suite 1400, Elkton, MD  21921.  Vendors shall use the model International 2008 4300 SBA 4x2(MA025) with the body Reading HD - 132AB for minimum specifications or County approved equivalent.  Additional specifications and/or instructions to bidders may be obtained at the same location or by calling the Purchasing Department, (David Pyle, Purchasing Agent), at the 410-996-5395/5396.

 Electronically submitted bid proposals will not be accepted.  Bid proposals will not be accepted from contractors who have not obtained original plans and documents from the Cecil County Purchasing Department.

Upon request, the Purchasing Office will provide vendor lists to requesting parties for all solicitations published unless a vendor/contractor provides a written request barring the disclosure of their information until after specific proposal award. 

LOCAL CONTRACTORS PREFERENCE:  Section 183-21 of the Cecil County Code provides for Local Preference whereby the Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County reserves the right to show preference to local bidders in the purchase of supplies, equipment, and services.

In accordance with Cecil County Code, the Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County reserves the right to show preference to local bidders in the purchase of supplies, equipment, and services.  The amount shall not exceed six percent (6%) of the amount bid or quoted and/or sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) whichever is less.
