Invitation to Bid
Sealed bid proposals for "CONCRETE BOX CULVERT" as described in the proposal package, for the Cecil County Government, Department of Public Works, Roads Division will be received from qualified bidders until 2:00 PM, March 26, 2007 at the Purchasing Office, 218 North Street, Elkton, MD 21921. The projects consist of design, manufacture and install reinforced concrete box culverts at two locations within Cecil County which includes all required work according to referenced specifications and procedures. Additional specifications and/or instructions to bidders may also be obtained by calling the Purchasing Department, (David Pyle, Purchasing Agent), at 410-996-5605/5606 or DPYLE@CCGOV.ORG or technical specifications contact Dan Webber, Chief Roads Division to 410-996-6271. Bid packages shall be picked up at the Purchasing Office.
Electronically submitted bid proposals will not be accepted. Bid proposals will not be accepted from contractors who have not obtained original plans and documents from the Cecil County Purchasing Department.
The Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
Upon request, the Purchasing Office will provide vendor lists to requesting parties for all solicitations published unless a vendor/contractor provides a written request barring the disclosure of their information until after specific proposal award.
LOCAL CONTRACTORS PREFERENCE: Section 183-21 of the Cecil County Code provides for Local Preference whereby the Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County reserves the right to show preference to local bidders in the purchase of supplies, equipment, and services.
