Invitation to Bid
Sealed bid proposals for "Cecil County Roads Division Cecilton Building Design/Build Contract" as described in the proposal package, for the Cecil County Government, Department of Public Works, Roads Division will be received from qualified bidders until 1:30 P.M., on November 16 , 2006, in the Purchasing Office, 218 North Street, Elkton, MD 21921. The Contract will consist of locally relocating existing office trailers and designing, supplying all materials, equipment, and manpower to build a new administrative building to include all work required to complete the project located at 146 South Bohemia Road (MD Rte 213) Cecilton MD 21913. A Mandatory Pre-Bid will be held at the Roads Division Cecilton Yard, 146 Bohemia Ave., Cecilton, MD on November 2, 2006 at 8 a.m. Additional specifications and/or instructions to bidders may also be obtained by calling the Purchasing Department, (David Pyle, Purchasing Agent), at 410-996-5395/5396 or Department of Public Works, Roads Division (Dan Webber) at 410-996-6271.
Electronically submitted bid proposals will not be accepted.
Bid proposals will not be accepted from contractors/vendors who have not obtained original plans and documents from the Cecil County Purchasing Office.
Upon request, the Purchasing Office will provide vendor lists to requesting parties for all solicitations unless a vendor/contractor provides a written request barring the disclosure of their information until after specific bid award.
LOCAL CONTRACTORS PREFERENCE: Section 183-21 of the Cecil County Code provides for Local Preference whereby the Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County reserves the right to show preference to local bidders in the purchase of supplies, equipment, and services.
