Permits for Connection to County Sewer
County Sewer Connection for a New Structure
-
To apply for a permit to connect a new structure to a county sewer system, a Permits and Inspections staff member must ascertain that the connection fees were paid on the building or grading permit. If the fees were paid on the permit, the plumbing permit can be issued. If the connection fees were not paid on the permit, the plumbing permit will not be issued. The Department of Public Works will be notified of the situation, and they will determine the connection fee due. Once the connection fee is paid, the plumbing permit can be issued.
County Sewer Connection for an Existing Residence
- To apply for a permit to connect an existing dwelling to a county sewer system, a pre-approval form must be completed and signed by the property owner and approved and signed by the Chief of the Water and Wastewater Division and the Chief of the Development Services Division. You must present this completed form to a Permits and Inspections staff member upon application of a permit to connect to a county sewer system. The connection permit will not be accepted without this form. The form is available to download below and available in the Department of Permits and Inspections and in the Department of Public Works.
If you have any questions about the procedures, please do not hesitate to ask a Department of Permits and Inspections or Department of Public Works staff member.
