Effective August 1, 2010, Cecil County will be enforcing the following building and mechanical codes:

1)   International Building Code 2009

2)  International Residential Code 2009

3)  International Energy Conservation Code 2009

4)  National Standard Plumbing Code 2006

5)  International Mechanical Code 2006

   As part of the enforcement of the International Mechanical Code, the long form Manual J calculations and a full duct design will be required at the time of the permit application.

  As part of the enforcement of the International Energy Conservation Code, a REScheck or COMcheck or their equivalent, may be required for all new homes, additions and all new commercial buildings and additions at the time of permit applications.
