              Equipment Operator 2 - Landfill

Position requirements:  High School Diploma or GED; three (3) of more years extensive experience operating and maintaining light to heavy equipment; a valid Commercial Driver's License - Class A is required.

Duties: Include operating and maintaining light and heavy equipment; operating Class A or B vehicles; directing job site operations; completing required paperwork; training personnel in safe equipment operation; working under general supervision; must be available for emergency duties, if necessary and all other operations as assigned by Chief.

          Equipment Operator I – Roads Division 

Cecil County Roads Division is seeking an Equipment Operator I with a starting salary of $25,418 per year. This is an hourly rate of $12.22. Safely operating light and heavy equipment under general supervision; performing all other duties as assigned. Excellent benefits are included with this position (Grade 4N, Step 1). Must be able to able to work at Northern, Southern, or Central Yards.

Position requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D.; one (1) or more year's experience in operating and maintaining light/heavy equipment or equivalent technical training; a valid CDL – B is required; preferred Class A; ability to work under general supervision.

Duties: Include the operation and maintenance of light/heavy equipment, including Class A and B vehicles; operate loader; dig ditches; flag traffic; may perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions for prolonged periods of time; shovel stone and blacktop; plow snow and salt roads; pick up trash; perform other duties as assigned; maintain vehicle and equipment records; and other duties as assigned.
