CORRECTIONAL OFFICER

Cecil County Sheriff's Office - Detention Center seeks a Correctional Officer with a starting salary of $31,533/year with promotion available one year after certification. $500 Sign-On Bonus*

Duties: Include, but are not limited to, supervising daily operations and activities of the inmates at the detention center from their assigned post, monitor conformance to facility rules and regulations and protect inmates from harm and violence.
 
Position Requirements: High School diploma or GED; must be 18 years' of age; valid drivers' license with no more than 5 points on driving record; ability to work various shifts as well as overtime without advance notice; and pass a thorough background investigation. Paid training and uniforms provided. No prior corrections experience necessary.

DEPUTY SHERIFF

Cecil County Sheriff's Office seeks a Deputy Sheriff with a starting salary of $37,752/year.

Applicants interested in a career as a Deputy Sheriff are encouraged to apply; prior certification is not required. Individuals currently certified or certified in the last three (3) years by the Maryland Police Training Commission to perform law enforcement duties of a police officer are also encouraged to apply.
