Employee Benefit Options

As a full-time, regular employee of Cecil County Government, these are some of the benefits available to you:

Upon Employment
 
 
For non-public safety employees, membership will be in the Maryland State Retirement/Pension System requiring a 4% contribution. For public safety employees, membership will be in the Cecil County Public Safety Pension Plan requiring an 8% contribution.

  • Accrue annual leave at 8 hours/month for each month worked

First of Month Following New Hire Orientation

County pays 85% of cost for these plans; employee contributes 15% through convenient pre-tax
payroll deduction:

  • Health Insurance - high or standard option plan ($10 or $20 co-pay for in-network providers)
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Prescription Plan - $10 co-pay for generic, 25% co-pay for name brand up to $50.

Employees may include eligible dependents on any of  the above plans.

  • Employee Assistance Program (no cost to employee or family members)
  • Term life insurance (one times annual salary, no cost to employee)

After 6 Months of Service

  • Tuition Reimbursement Program
