Neighboring Counties Meet to Discuss BRAC Impact

County Commissioner President Nelson Bolender, County Administrator Alfred Wein, and Economic Development Director Vernon Thompson met on January 26, 2006 at the Cavalier Country Club in Newark with New Castle County Executive Chris Coons and members of his Economic Development Commission to discuss the impact on Cecil and New Castle Counties regarding the BRAC consolidations at Aberdeen Proving Ground, and other issues of mutual interest to each jurisdiction.  

"It is clear that the future prosperity of Cecil County is not solely dependent upon what happens within the county, but also upon our close collaboration, communication, and coordination with our regional partners within both Maryland and our neighboring states." stated Nelson K. Bolender, President.
