Terumo Medical Corporation Moves its Introducer Sheath Technology to a Larger Plant

            Terumo Medical Corporation (TMC) announces the grand opening of a newly renovated, best-in-class manufacturing area built specifically to house its Introducer Sheath Assembly (IK) operations.  The relocation of Terumo's IK assembly line from the Terumo West Plant to the East Plant represents an investment of over $700,000 in building renovations creating a world-class clean room environment to house its IK operations.  The newly designed space will allow for future product line extensions as well as future new product introductions. The decision to relocate Terumo's IK assembly lines also allows the expansion of existing Terumo Cardio Vascular Systems operations into the area currently occupied by IK products.    

            This move comes just one and a half years after completing a strategic, corporate global initiative to modernize and bring efficiencies to TMC's manufacturing operations.  This investment in TMC operations represents the company's commitment to remain a manufacturer and employer of choice within the State of Maryland.
