Cecil County has numerous parks and natural areas open to the public for a variety of uses, including hiking, biking, camping horseback riding, hunting and fishing.
Earleville Wildlife

2,200 acres of lush waterfront forest. Rustic cabins and campsites for tents, trailers, and motor homes, with bath houses and full hookup loops. Ten miles of hiking trails and Turkey Point Lighthouse, one of the Bay's oldest in continuous operation. Sandy beach, playground, conference facility, boat rentals, boat ramps, snack bar, gift shop, miniature golf.
Elk Neck Trail An 8 mile hiking and biking trail from the Beaver Pond in Elk Neck State Forest, just south of North East, to the Turkey Point Lighthouse at the southern tip of Elk Neck. The trail offers a magnificent panorama of the Chesapeake Bay headwaters.

Fair Hill Covered Bridge5600 acres of wilderness and 80 miles of trails for biking, hiking, and horse back riding. Fresh water stream fishing. Scenic vistas of woods, rolling hills, fields and winding streams. Numerous equestrian and outdoor events are held here every year, including the Highland Gathering Scottish Games, Fair Hill Steeplechase Races, Fair Hill International and Cecil County Fair.

A nature center and outdoor school serving residents of Cecil County and the surrounding area. School and youth group programs, programs for families and the general public, and host of the annual Spring Fest and the autumn Fox Trot Ball.

A certified Maryland Heritage Area encompassing a 38 mile area along the Harford and Cecil shores of the Susquehanna River at the headwaters of the Chesapeake Bay. Currently a water and land recreational trail system is partially completed and ready for outdoor enthusiasts.
