The Cecil County Board of Health met in the County Administrative Building, 107 North Street, Elkton, Maryland on Tuesday, October 2, 2007. The following members of the Board were present: William C. Manlove, President Mark H. Guns, Vice President Rebecca Demmler, Commissioner Brian Lockhart, Commissioner Wayne Tome, Commissioner Dr. Virginia Bailey Constituting a full Board. October 21-27 is recognized as nationwide Lead Poisoning Prevention Week. The Cecil County Health Department will help to raise public awareness of the dangers of lead poisoning by distributing educational fliers and posters throughout the county. The Cecil County Health Department announced the dates for the Flu Clinics, and encourages all citizens to take advantage of the abundant supply of flu vaccine available this year. The final rabies clinic will be held at the Cecil County Health Department on Saturday, October 6, 2007. The fee is $5 per animal. The Cecil County Public Schools and the Health Department will be sponsoring the Annual Cecil County Transitioning Youth Night on Thursday, October 4, 2007 for all parents and special needs students.
