Constituting a full Board.
Stephanie Garrity, Cecil County Health Officer, presented a summary of the Cecil County Health Department's Bathing Beach Sampling Program for 2008. Eight of the 88 individual sampling events (9%) showed bacteria levels exceeding Federal and State standards; this compares to 16% of the sampling events that exceeded standards in 2007 and 22% in 2006. Lack of rainfall and run-off to the waterways may have contributed to improved results this season.
