January 8, 2008 The Cecil County Board of Health met in the County Administrative Building, 200 Chesapeake Blvd., Elkton, Maryland on Tuesday, January 8, 2008. The following members of the Board were present:
William C. Manlove, President Mark H. Guns, Vice President Rebecca Demmler, Commissioner Brian Lockhart, Commissioner Wayne Tome, Commissioner Stephanie Garrity
Constituting a full Board.
The Cecil County Health Department has vaccinated over 4000 residents so far this flu season. There is still an ample supply of vaccine and the Health Department encourages all citizens to get vaccinated at the Health Department or by their private physician.
Charles Smyser, Director of Environmental Health Services at the Cecil County Health Department presented a proposed change in the Environmental Health Fee Schedule that if approved, would take effect July 1, 2008. Mr. Smyser advised the Board that the last fee schedule revision was six years ago. The Board requested that comparisons of surrounding county fee schedules be submitted as well as a "break down" of the fees and the proposed increases.
