| Michael Dunn began serving his first term as Commissioner for the Third District on December 13, 2010. Commissioner Dunn worked as a congressional intern in the US House of Representatives, and has served as a legislative aide in the Maryland State Senate and House of Delegates. In 2002, he was elected to the Republican Central Committee for a four-year term. From 2008–2010, he served as a member of the Rising Sun Board of Zoning Appeals. He has an extensive background in history and political science, and has been an active community leader on a variety of issues ranging from growth in the county to creating an elected school board.
Commissioner Dunn will represent the Board of Commissioners as a member of the following organizations:
- Cecil County Firemen's Association
- Mental Health Core Service Agency Advisory Board
- Parks and Recreation Board
