Wayne L. Tome, Sr. began his first term as Commissioner representing the Fourth District on December 11, 2006.  His community service experience includes 30 years as a firefighter/paramedic with the Volunteer Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services of Cecil County, 5 years service as president of the Cecil Firemen's Association, 4 years as Mayor of Port Deposit, and 5 years as a member of Town Council.  He also serves as Fire Chief for the Water Witch Fire Company of Port Deposit.  Wayne is a Battalion Fire Chief with  the Baltimore County Fire Department with 27 years of service to the organization.

Commissioner Tome will represent the Board of Commissioners as a member of the following organizations:

• Bainbridge Development Corporation - Advisory Board on Bylaws Committee
• Cecil County Firemen's Association
• Cecil County Health Department
• Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greeway Board
• Maryland Association of Counties Alternate Representative

Commissioner Tome, and his wife, Sheila, have two children, Wayne, Jr. and Kayla.  A lifelong resident of Port Deposit, he intends to establish a solid relationship with the citizen's of Cecil County, and all levels of government to improve the quality of life in Cecil County.  He is dedicated to public service, and welcomes comments from residents.
