    Cecil County Executive Dr. Alan J. McCarthy is pleased to announce the notice of funding availability (NOFA) for the Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) Grant Program for FY 2018. Nonprofit and not-for-profit organizations and state, county and municipal government agencies are eligible to apply for grants to mitigate the impact of the Perryville gaming facility (Hollywood Casino) on local resources and communities. Grant applications must indicate how the funding will be used to address the needs of the community and/or population served in one of three purpose areas: 1.) Public Safety Initiatives, 2.) Economic, Community Development, Infrastructure and Sanitation Public Service Projects or Programs, or 3.) Prevention, Intervention and Education Projects or Programs.

  • LAND USE AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

    County Executive Alan McCarthy announced today that services currently delivered in three different departments will be combined and housed under one new department, to be called the Department of Land Use and Development Services. In accordance with this reorganization and consolidation, services provided by Planning & Zoning, Permits & Inspections and the plans review function of the Department of Public Works will all be combined as divisions within the new Department of Land Use and Development Services.
