The Cecil County Public Library has acquired a 3.5 acre parcel in the North East Station Shopping Center in order to construct a new freestanding public library Branch for the North East region. The new library will house both public library space and Cecil County Library headquarters (approximately 15,000 square feet is needed to house headquarters operations). Programming for the library space will include physical collections and resources, public access to technology and digital resources, study and reading areas, collaboration space, community meeting rooms, an enclosed children’s room with early childhood learning features, as well as a continuum of high-quality learning spaces for youth. The total square foot area for the new building is planned to be a minimum of 45,000 square feet. Scope of services are to include comprehensive Civil design including landscape, Architectural design including all interiors and furniture specification, Structural engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing design. Please be sure to include information on all proposed consultants within this submission.
