County Extends Offer to Towns For Future Procurement Opportunities
October 23, 2017
Town mayors and community leaders met with County Executive Dr. Alan McCarthy and Director of Administration Al Wein, as well as other County representatives, recently to extend the offer to open up opportunities for more collaborations between the individual towns and Cecil County Government.
In the coming weeks, County administration will work with the towns to devise a strategy to assist with specific issues. “The County will facilitate meetings with the towns to offer more productive ways to discuss possible alliances,” said Mr. Wein.
County Executive McCarthy went on to offer the opportunities for consultation and advisement resources from many of the County’s departments to assist with topics including human resources, legal issues, public works and information technology.
Town community leaders present were receptive and agreed to work in conjunction with the County and offer their guidance and services when available.
“When the County helps the towns and the towns assist the County and we all work together, it improves our community as a whole,” noted McCarthy. “Good business and community relationships will help us all to move the County in a more positive direction.”
